History of Women's
Women’s Hockey was formally organized in 2004, and has over 20 women skaters, ages 18 and up. Our team members welcomed recreational male skaters onto our ice in 2008 to expand our membership, diversify our game experience, and increase our tournament opportunities. Women’s Hockey is excited to have numerous generations of family members together on the ice each year. We embrace the idea of those that skate together-stay together.
Annual Events
H4-ICE Co-Ed Soaker
A Bi-Annual co-ed hockey festival in December and March of 40-60 hockey players of all levels. Teams are dedicated and play 3 hours of competitive hockey. This is an amazing opportunity for new players to participate in a low-key “at home” tournament without the pressure to perform. Our annual sponsors and team members provide food and beverages for all participants. This is a super fun event!
Great Falls Brewser—Annual Women's Hockey Tournament
This tournament is hosted by the Great Falls Thunder, selected members of Women’s Hockey. No men are allowed to play on team Thunder during this tournament. This tournament sells out annually to 14 teams from Montana, Canada, Washington, Wyoming, Utah, and Idaho. This tournament is an annual favorite by all who participate due to the consistent attention to detail, fair game play and the memories created at the exclusive social event holder, the Beacon Ice House. Registration packet with full payment must be submitted to the coordinator to guarantee your team registration.
Fundraising & Sponsorships
Women’s/H4-ICE Hockey depends on sponsorship and fundraising to supplement player registration fees, weekly ice fees, tournament fees, coaching expenses, and annual contributions to the Great Falls Iceplex. If you are interested in sponsoring a player or the team, email gfwomenshockey@yahoo.com
Zero Tolerance – Women’s/H4-ICE Hockey prioritizes the wellness of the majority membership and will reject registration and participation due to past misconduct, player conflict and/or principles inconsistent with the culture and values embraced by the majority membership since 2004.
